Upgrades & Gamepasses in Storage Hunters Roblox: Full Costs

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox Storage Hunters: Open World

Upgrades in Storage Hunters: Open World are permanent shop improvements bought with Diamonds, not cash. There are 10 of them, and maxing all 10 costs 9,170 Diamonds in total (sum of the per-upgrade totals below). Plot Expansion is a separate Diamond sink on top of that: all 30 tiles cost 1,890 Diamonds. The cheapest upgrade to finish is Trophy Capacity (140), the most expensive is Plot Capacity (2,125).

Two quick answers. Best upgrades to buy first (opinion): Price Tags (145 total, offers improve by +10%), then Advertising and Selling Space, because they raise income on every sale. The "upgrade shelves" option people search for is the Selling Space upgrade, which goes from 4 to 30 selling slots. Best thing to buy for Robux (opinion): Lucky Grading (399 Robux), because it removes the 22% Replica chance entirely and doubles 3-Star grades. Details and the reasoning are below.

Diamonds come from customer tips, Diamond safes and vaults, quests and collections, or Robux. Tips have a soft cap of 65 Diamonds per hour from regular NPC and Celebrity customers; the Mint mutation guarantees a Diamond tip and is not counted against that cap.

Recommended upgrade order

This order is opinion, based on the costs and effects above. The source wiki publishes no official order.

  1. Price Tags to +10% (145 Diamonds). Cheapest income upgrade; every offer starts 10% closer to fair value.
  2. Advertising to +30% (150 Diamonds for three steps). More sales per hour from the same shelves. The last two steps (180 and 280) can wait.
  3. Selling Space to 16 slots. The first six steps cost 240 Diamonds and take you from 4 to 16 shelves. This is the "upgrade shelves" option.
  4. Celebrity Customers to 35% (75 Diamonds). Two cheap steps; celebrities pay big and tip huge, which feeds Diamonds back.
  5. Tip Jar to 4% (75 Diamonds). Doubles the base tip chance from 2% for very little.
  6. Inventory Space to 45 slots. The first seven steps cost 255 Diamonds. Useful once you win bigger auction lots.
  7. Trophy Capacity to 3 (140 Diamonds). Only matters once you own Gavel Trophies worth displaying.
  8. Storage Box Space, Plot Capacity, Second Floor. Build-limit upgrades, 4,470 Diamonds together. Buy them when you hit the limit on your base, not before.

Staff upgrades share the same Diamond pool. Hiring the Shop Assistant costs 100 Diamonds; its Negotiating upgrade costs 125 to max (+25% counteroffer chance) and Walk Speed costs 35 to max (Speed 18). See shop for what the assistant does.

Which gamepasses are worth it

Opinion, based only on the documented effects and prices.

  • Lucky Grading (399) - best single purchase. Replica drops from 22% to 0%, 2 Star rises from 35% to 54% and 3 Star from 5% to 10%. Grade is a multiplier on item value, and a certificate's grade also shapes the bonus it rolls at the Authenticator, so it pays off however you play.
  • +50% Selling Space (349) - strong. Cheapest of the capacity passes and it multiplies the upgrade you should already be buying: 45 shelves instead of 30.
  • Speedy Offers (449) - good for active sellers. A third faster offers on every listed item; less useful if the shop sits unattended.
  • Celebrity Gamepass (479) - situational. Reaches the 100% visit rate without spending the 825 Diamonds needed to max the upgrade, which itself stops at 66.7%. Strong if you are short on Diamonds, weak if the upgrade is already maxed.
  • +50% Inventory Space (399) and +50% Car Weight (379) - convenience. Fewer trips between auctions and shop. Buy the vehicle weight pass first if the car is your limit, not the backpack.
  • Extra Gavel Trophy (449) - late game only. A fourth slot matters once you own three trophies worth stacking.
  • Quick Sell from Inventory (249) - quality of life. Saves the walk to the shop; it does not raise prices.
  • +50% Plot Item Capacity (699) - builders only. Most expensive pass; only matters once you hit the 1,700 item limit.
  • Free Vehicle Customization (149) - cosmetic. Cheapest pass, no gameplay effect beyond free customization.

Things not documented yet

  • An upgrade for "fixing tools" or repair tools: none appears on the Upgrades page. The only Diamond tracks are the 10 above, Plot Expansion, and the Shop Assistant. Damaged gear is repaired at the Repair Shop in the Shopping Mall, which is a service, not an upgrade.
  • The combined offer speed with Speedy Offers plus maxed Advertising.
  • Gamepass sales; prices above are the listed Robux prices as of the source's last edit (25 August 2026).

For free Diamonds, see the Diamond safe page. The game had no code redemption system as of August 2026; the codes page tracks whether that changes.
