Bid Zone Width is an accessory stat that widens the green zone on the auction bid bar, so bids are easier to land. It changes nothing about the price you pay or what is sitting inside the garage: it only makes the target you have to hit bigger, which matters because you win an auction by pressing Bid while the moving marker is inside that zone.
You get the stat by spending a Certificate of Authenticity on a head, back or wrist accessory at the Authenticator. The roll is random, and the recorded results run from 11% at the bottom to 75% at the top depending on which certificate you used.
What the stat actually does
The wiki's own wording is short: Bid Zone Width "widens the green zone on the bid bar so bids are easier to land". Three details fill that out.
The bid bar shows the current bid, the next bid and the timing zone. The zone is usually green, but its colour and behaviour can change depending on the contents of the garage and possible mutations, so a wider zone is not always a green zone.
A missed bid puts you on a cooldown while the NPC bidders keep raising the price. That is the real cost the stat protects you from, and it is why the wiki's auction tips single out Bid Zone Width and Bid Arrow Speed as the accessories that "make it easier to land bids on auctions containing rarer item mutations". Those are exactly the auctions where a missed window is expensive.
Bid Zone Width is a basic authentication stat, which means it can land on any accessory slot. It carries no slot restriction, unlike stats such as Sunny (head only) or Timekeeper (wrist only).
Bid Zone Width roll ranges

A Ripped certificate is worth roughly half a Wooden one here: 38% against 75% at the ceiling. That is the whole penalty, and a Ripped certificate is still a free permanent buff on an accessory that otherwise has none.
One inconsistency worth knowing. The Fandom source states that Wooden and Certificate Of Alienticity roll identical ranges on every basic stat they share, but its own range table gives Bid Zone Width a 30% floor on Alienticity against 15% on Wooden. Bid Zone Width is the only basic stat where the two tables disagree. The ranges are described as what has been directly observed so far rather than the game's limits, so the likeliest reading is that nobody has recorded an Alienticity roll below 30% yet, not that the floor is genuinely higher. The Alienticity is in any case no longer obtainable: it came from the Alien Invasion event, which ran 16–30 August 2026.
How to increase your bid zone width
- Get a certificate. Ripped and Wooden certificates drop from auction containers in every area of the map. Neither is tied to a specific garage or pool.
- Authenticate at the Authenticator. Pick the accessory, pick the certificate, confirm. The certificate is consumed and the accessory gains one permanent random bonus stat. This costs nothing else: no Robux, no Diamonds.
- Reroll if the stat missed. Straight after any roll, two paid options appear at a flat 199 Robux each. Reroll rerolls the stat itself and can land on something different; Reroll Number keeps the stat and rerolls only its percentage. Both vanish once you walk away.
- Use a better certificate. A certificate's own mutation and grade push the roll toward the top of the band. One confirmed example: a Secret-mutated Wooden certificate lifted the Overcharged floor from 5% to 9% with the ceiling unchanged.
- Grade the accessory. Rolling a higher grade (2★ or 3★) on an accessory strengthens its existing bonuses and passives, not just its sale value.
Re-authenticating an accessory that already has a bonus replaces the old one. It never adds a second stat, and the previous result cannot be recovered, so a Bid Zone Width roll you like is worth protecting from a later certificate.
